Alice Irene (Chatfield) Daddio

Alice Irene (Chatfield) Daddio, age 82 of Seymour, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Coachman Square, Woodbridge, CT, on March 17th, 2025. Alice was born November 5th, 1942, in Derby, daughter of the late Edward H. and Irene A. (Hoyt) Chatfield and the Beloved wife of Joseph C. Daddio for 60 years — married June 27th, 1964, at St. Augustine’s Church, Seymour.

Alice was a lifelong resident of Seymour. She taught 4th Grade at Maple Street School, was Organist/Choir Director at Seymour United Methodist Church, Worship Leader at Seymour Four Square Gospel Church, and Organized and Directed Reflections Ecumenical Youth Choir. Alice was a member of Seymour United Methodist Church. Her passion was Christian Music Ministry. Alice was a Friend and Mentor to everyone she met. She opened her home to everyone, and there was always room for tea and fellowship at her table.

Besides her husband, Alice leaves her loving family: Son- Mark J. (Rebecca) Daddio of Naugatuck; Daughters- Karen A. (Thomas) Friedrichs of Gretna, VA, and Claudia Fernandez of Westbrook, ME. Grandchildren: Ryan (Veronica) Daddio, Jacob (Jessica) Daddio, Tyler Daddio (Michelle Voong), Joshua Friedrichs (Mariah Ollive). Benjamin Friedrichs, Noah (Melody) Friedrichs, Sabrina & Paula Crucianelli, and Great-Granddaughter – Madelyn Rose Daddio.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family from 4 pm to 8 pm on Friday, April 4th, in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church Street, Seymour, CT 06483. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, April 5th, at 1:30 PM at Seymour United Methodist Church, 90 Pearl Street, Seymour, CT. 06483
