Benjamin B. Soto, age 71, of Ansonia, entered into eternal rest on Friday October 18, 2024 at home with his loving family by his side. He was born in Aguada, Puerto Rico on September 21, 1953, the son of the late Rito Soto and Julia (Gonzalez) Soto. Benjamin lived in Aguada, Puerto Rico where he met his loving wife Nancy (Chaparro) Soto of 45 years. On October 26, 1979, he moved to CT where they started a family.
He worked as a Therapeutic Recreation at Bridgeport Manor for over 30 years. Benjamin had a passion for cars. He would buy and sell cars and attend many car shows. He loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren even more than his passion for cars.
Benjamin is survived by his son Omar J. Soto, his daughters Zasha Wilkins and Iesha M. Soto, his grandchildren Jeremiah, Omar Jr., Kayleb, Christopher, Levi and Julia and his great grandchildren Noah, Ava and Benjamin who is on the way into the world. He is the brother of Liliam Soto Gonzalez, Olga Soto Gonzalez, Edda Soto Gonzalez, Aileen Soto Gonzalez, Rito Soto Gonzalez, Sigfredo Soto Gonzalez and Edwin D. Soto Gonzalez. He was also survived by several nieces and nephews. Benjamin was predeceased by his sisters Rita Julia (Judy) Soto Gonzalez and Liz Betsy Soto Gonzalez.
On Tuesday, friends and family may greet the family at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton, CT. from 4 – 7 pm. His funeral service will be held at 6 pm in the funeral home. Online condolences can be left for his family at www.riverviewfh.com
