Brian E. Peters, age 50 of Oxford, beloved father of Briley Peters, entered peaceful rest on Saturday, November 16, 2024 in Griffin Hospital with family by his side. Born in Derby on October 3, 1974, he was the son of Eugene and Dixie (Tilquist) Peters of Oxford.
A retired maintenance coordinator for Continuum Care of CT, Brian was an avid movie lover, especially of Star Wars. He loved to cook, Harley Davidson motorcycles, enjoyed country music, played guitar and collected many toys like original Star Wars memorabilia, as well as G.I. Joe figures.
Survivors include his loving parents, Eugene and Dixie; daughter, Briley and her boyfriend Nikolas Cabral; sister, Kimberly Romeo and her husband Matt of Oxford; uncles, Ralph Tilquist, John Tilquist and Bruce Peters and his wife Diane; cousins, Wesley Tilquist, Samantha Bixby, John Tilquist, Brett Peters and Heidi Kashuba; step-nephews, Matthew and Thomas Romeo; his fur nephew, Houdini; many dear friends, as well as his best friends, Jeanine Avitabile and Elsa Ward. Brian was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Robert and Alice Peters, and his maternal grandparents, Harold and Barbara Tilguist.
A Memorial Service celebrating Brian’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at 7pm in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St. Seymour, CT 06483. Relatives and friends can greet the family from 5pm until the time of services. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
