Dorothy E. Ploski, age 84, of Ansonia entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at her home with her loving family by her side.
She was the devoted wife of 63 years to Robert H. Ploski. Dorothy was born in Derby, on December 23, 1939, daughter of the late Harry and Mary (Osiecki) Lysak and was an Ansonia resident for all of her life. She enjoyed shopping, crocheting, reading, polka dancing, and traveling to and spending time in Florida. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her family.
Dorothy was the beloved mother of Debbie (Greg) Evon, Carol (Terry) Richardson and Joyce (Dean) Chevarella and sister of Robert (Barbara) Lysak, Edward (JoAnne) Lysak and Lori (Mark) Illuminati. She was the loving grandmother of Shelley (Tim) Kestler, Carissa (Joe) Leonard, Adam Evon, Candace (Wes) Hansen, Casey (JC) Adams, Caylee (Will) Wolfburg, Melanie (Ryan) Coughlin and Brad Chevarella and great grandmother of Spencer and Leo Hansen, Connor and Benjamin Kestler, Rylee Adams, Mikaela and Elias Leonard and Kennedy Wolfburg. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews.
On Sunday, friends may greet the family from 2:00 — 5:00 PM at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby. On Monday, her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM for her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Church, Ansonia. Her burial will follow at St. Michael Cemetery.
