Dorothy L. Ahlgren, age 99 of Lady Lake, FL, wife of the late Reimar John Ahlgren, Jr., died peacefully on December 3, 2024 at the Willows Assisted Living Facility, The Villages, FL.
Born in Ansonia on January 8, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Wasil and Effie Zuraw Pedbereznak. Mrs. Ahlgren was a long-time resident of Ansonia, before moving to Florida 38 years ago.
She worked as an inspector for the former B.F. Goodrich Co. of Shelton, among other manufacturers, until the time of her retirement in 1987.
Mrs. Ahlgren was a member of Holy Rosary Church, Ansonia, the Marian Helpers Circle of Light, the National Shrine of our Lady of the Sorrows and the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Cathy Miller of FL; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by sons, Reimar John Ahlgren, III and John Reimar Alhgren; son-in-law, Tom Miller; sisters, Esther Pandolfi, Anna Gluz, Eva, Catherine and Mary Pedbereznak; and brothers, Alex, Michael, Max, Steven and Daniel Pedbereznak.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia.
