Elzbieta Izabela Piechocki, age 63 a Seymour resident for 26 years, formerly of Ansonia, and Poland. She entered peaceful rest following a 15-year battle with cancer; she passed quietly at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Elzbieta was the beloved wife of 37 years to Andrzej Piechocki. Mrs. Piechocki was born December 28, 1960, in Chorzow, Poland, daughter of Kazimierz and Maria (Swikszcz) Baranowski of Ansonia.
Elzbieta attended St. Joseph Church, Ansonia. She graduated Gateway Community College in New Haven with associate degree and was working as a Gift Processing Manager for The Legionaries of Christ in Cheshire. While in Poland, Elzbieta was a graduate of Fire College, and subsequently was employed at the Fire Station there. Elzbieta will be fondly remembered for her warm and welcoming personality, and as a happy person who loved to spend time with her closest family. She enjoyed a walk in the woods focusing on peace and quiet; the beach also called to her soul and sharing a wonderful seafood meal. When you see tulips sprout up in the Springtime, just know that this was Elzbieta’s favorite flower and let it bring in sweet memories of her.
In addition to her husband and parents, Elzbieta also leaves her loving family including her sons, Andrew and Adam both of Seymour, and her sisters, Bozena Roberts and her husband Jim of Oxford, and Barbara Ambrocio and her husband Baldo of Beacon Falls.
