Gloria J. Brockenberry, age 72, entered eternal rest on November 28, 2024, at her home in Ansonia.
Gloria was born in Milford on August 27, 1952, daughter of the late Harry and Loretta James Brockenberry. She grew up in Milford and resided in New Haven for most of her life before moving to Ansonia in 2023. Gloria was employed as a day care provider for her family and friends. She was fun loving with a great sense of humor and was always the life of the party. Gloria loved cooking for her family and spending time with her precious grandchildren. Her hobbies included bingo, singing, dancing, and playing card games.
Gloria leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Anthony Brockenberry, Gregory Brockenberry and Roscoe Brockenberry of New Haven, daughters, Charlene Brockenberry and April Brockenberry of New Haven, sisters, Mildred Brockenberry of New Haven, Carol Brown of Ansonia, Edna Dacer of New Haven, Marcia Diggs of New Haven, and Joan Daniels of New Haven along with six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Warren Brockenberry, daughter, Denise Brockenberry, brothers, Frankie, Henry and William Brockenberry, and sister, Betty Lou Brockenberry.
