Jeff Camp, 59, passed away on February 7, 2025, in Shelton, Connecticut. He was born on October 6, 1965, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, to Ray and Betty (Driggs) Camp.
Jeff shared a beautiful life with his wife, Peggy, spending 37 years together and 31 years in marriage. He was her best friend and soul mate. Their love created a home where they raised their four children: Tyler, Jake, Morgan, and Dylan. Jeff’s greatest joy was being there for his children — whether coaching their teams, announcing games, or cheering from the sidelines at every practice and event. He took immense pride in their accomplishments, loved their fun-loving spirits, was in awe of their strong work ethic. Most times he could be found at the bottom of a pile with all of them piled on top of him! He loved them more than words could say.
Jeff’s backyard was his sanctuary — a place filled with laughter, cookouts, and cherished moments with family and friends. Whether hosting summer barbecues or casual gatherings with loved ones — including The Bindner boys, Cortina and Kellers-( all who he loved as his own) his home was always open to those he cared about.
A devoted fan of the New York Giants and Yankees, Jeff found joy in cheering on his teams through every season. He also appreciated life’s simple pleasures — cutting the grass, taking long walks, and embracing the everyday moments that brought him peace.
Jeff had a youthful spirit that never faded; he was and always will be the ultimate Peter Pan. His energy and love for life were infectious to all who knew him. Always a smile and a hello for everyone who he walked by.
In addition to his wife and children, Jeff leaves behind his siblings Cindy, Raymond, Sherri, and Nancy as well as several nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly. He is reunited in passing with his parents, Ray and Betty Camp, and his mother-in-law Ginny Oates who all loved him dearly.
On Sunday, February 16th, Jeff’s family invites everyone to join them at The Stone Barn at Whitney Farms, 175 Shelton Road, Monroe from 1:00 to 5:00 PM for A Celebration of Life in Jeff’s honor. At 3:00 PM the family will hold a service and share memories of Jeff.
Jeff’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him best — his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of sharing in his laughter and warmth.
The Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton has been entrusted with his cremation.
