Nancy Ann (Kendzierski) King, 66, a lifelong Ansonia resident and wife of 43 years to Karl King, passed away peacefully at home on October 18, 2024.
She was born November 3, 1957 in Derby to the late Stanley and Evelyn (Laisczk) Kendzierski.
She worked as a manager for the D.M.V. for 42 years until retirement.
Nancy’s greatest joy and accomplishment were her children. She was a devoted mother who put her family above everything. She made every day memorable when her children were with her. She was the heart of her family, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched. Nancy was an avid supporter of Alabama athletics and stayed busy with a wide array of arts and crafts.
In addition to her husband Karl of 43 years, she leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Rebecca King of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and her son Taylor King of Ansonia. She also leaves behind her sisters JoAnn “Cooky” Hartsburg (Walter) of Ansonia, Patricia “Tiki” DeBiase (Robert) of Seymour, Jeanne Kendzierski of Ansonia & Rebecca Pelaccia (Frank) of Seymour and brothers, Stanley “Stosh” Kendzierski Jr. of Ansonia and Walter Kendzierski of Seymour, as well as nephews, Robert and John DeBiase, Nicholas and Matthew Pelaccia, and Garrett Coughlin, and nieces Jaclyn DeFrancesco, Jenna Draper, and Kiersten Coughlin.
Friends may call on Wednesday, October 23rd from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Jenkins-King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Nancy’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
