Ray J. Metchick, age 67, of Shelton entered into rest on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Griffin Hospital with his loving family by his side.
He was the devoted husband of 28 years to Dody (Nardello) Metchick. Ray was born in New Haven on March 9, 1957. Ray was a salesman for many years until his retirement. Ray was a very faithful longtime member of the Long Hill Baptist Church in Trumbull.
Ray is the beloved step-father of Mark and Frank Hedgeland and grandfather of Mark and Tyler.
On Thursday, friends may greet the family from 9:00 — 10:00 AM at the Long Hill Baptist Church, 100 Middlebrooks Ave., Trumbull. The funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM in the church. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Following his services everyone is invited back to Long Hill Baptist Church for a reception.
