Raymond D. Weston, age 76, of Shelton entered into rest on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at St. Joseph Manor with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Middletown, on December 26, 1947, son of the late Paul A. and Huldah L. (Harris) Weston and was a lifelong Shelton resident. Raymond was a graduate of Shelton High School. He went on to receive his Bachelor Degree from Southern CT State University and later received his Masters Degree from the University of Bridgeport. Raymond taught at Shelton High School and Shelton Intermediate School as a history teacher for 30 years until his retirement. He wrote two books on mnemonic memory. Raymond had a good sense of humor and was known for his pun jokes. He enjoyed watching sports and was a N.Y. Yankees fan. Raymond was also an avid UCONN Basketball fan and especially enjoyed watching the women’s team.
He was the beloved father of Christina Landau and Gregory Landau, brother of Dennis (Sandy) Weston and Phyllis (James) Rollinson and uncle of Chris (Michelle) Weston, Eric (Danielle) Weston, James (Kristen) Rollinson, Jr., Denise Rollinson, PhD and the late Deborah Rollinson. Raymond was the great uncle of Anthony, Riley, Madalyn and Lucas.
On Monday, friends may call from 4 to 7 PM at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton. On Tuesday, his funeral service will be at 11:30 AM at the funeral home. His burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
