William M. Hayes, 76, of Shelton entered into eternal rest on Sunday Oct.20, at the Lord Chamberlain Health Care.
He is the husband to Christine Clapes Hayes. Born in Derby son of the late John and Rosemary (Dolan) Hayes. A communicant of the Church of the Assumption, a retired machinist from Sikorsky Aircraft and he loved to shop. He is a past member of the Storm Engine Co.
Survivors besides his wife are three sisters Jacqueline Yocher of Southbury, Mary Jane Kross of Tenn. and Kathleen Tiano of Ansonia 4 grandsons Jordan, Ethan, Jacob and Dylan.as well as several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by 3 sons Dr. Jeremy Hayes, Jared Hayes and Jason Hayes Step-father George O’Donnell. His mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated of Friday Oct. 25 at 10:30 a.m. in the Church of the Assumption. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peters Cemetery.Bennett Funeral Home 91 N.
