Ansonia police received 349 calls for service and made 12 arrests between March 17, 2025 and March 23, 2025.
MARCH 17, 2025
12:45 a.m. Police were called to Forest and Woodlawn avenues for a motor vehicle accident.
9:48 a.m. Police arrested a 52-year-old man on W. Main Street and charged him with two counts of violating a restraining order.
10:30 a.m. A caller on Hoinski Way reported theft from a building.
11:47 a.m. Police received a report from Jason Wright Drive about theft from a motor vehicle.
10:45 p.m. Police responded to a report of drunkenness on George Street.
MARCH 18, 2025
11:36 a.m. Police conducted a traffic stop at Bridge Street and Pershing Drive.
4:35 p.m. Police responded to a report of shoplifting from Main Street. A 63-year-old Derby woman was arrested and charged with sixth-degree larceny.
5:22 p.m. A caller reported hazardous road conditions on Beaver Street.
8:27 p.m. Police arrested a 37-year-old man on Main Street on drug- and firearm-related charges. The charges included stealing a firearm, possession of a firearm with no serial number, sale of hallucinogen, sale of vaccine, seven counts of failure to store a firearm away from minors, and risk of injury to a child.
10:51 p.m. A caller reported suspicious activity on Westfield Avenue.
MARCH 19, 2025
3:47 a.m. Police received a report from Michael Street of a stolen vehicle.
8:00 a.m. A caller on Beaver Street lodged a dog/animal complaint.
10:45 a.m. Police arrested a 32-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman, both from Long Island. Police charged both with first-degree larceny and with spending more than $500 on a revoked payment card.
2:09 p.m. A caller on Pershing Drive reported impersonation.
2:56 p.m. Police attempted to serve a subpoena.
MARCH 20, 2025
3:49 a.m. Police responded to a report from E. Main Street of a stolen license plate.
7:33 a.m. Police were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Tremont Street.
12:00 p.m. A caller on Woodlawn Avenue reported theft from a motor vehicle.
2:30 p.m. Police arrested a 31-year-old man and charged him with disorderly conduct, third-degree assault, and risk of injury to a child.
3:58 p.m. Police were called in relation to a missing person investigation.
MARCH 21, 2025
9:47 a.m. Police received a report of disorderly conduct on Howard Avenue.
12:10 p.m. Police arrested a 44-year-old woman on Howard Avenue and charged her with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault.
1:09 p.m. Hazardous road conditions were reported on Franklin Street.
3:22 p.m. Illegal parking was reported on Clarkson and Holbrook streets.
MARCH 22, 2025
2:21 a.m. Police conducted a traffic stop on Division Street.
11:17 a.m. A caller on Edgewood Avenue lodged a wildlife complaint.
5:19 p.m. Police responded to a motor vehicle accident with injuries on Main Street.
9:49 p.m. A caller reported that fire wires were down on Lester Street.
10:26 p.m. Police and firefighters were called to the scene of a two-car fire in the Target parking lot.
MARCH 23, 2025
10:34 a.m. A caller on Clifton Avenue reported suspicious activity.
5:00 p.m. Police were called back to Target for a report of a motor vehicle accident.
5:45 p.m. Vandalism was reported by a caller on S. Cliff Street.
