ANSONIA – The Ansonia Fire Department was dispatched to a reported vehicle fire in the area of 591 Beaver Street at approximately 3:52 a.m. Wednesday (July 23).
No injuries were reported, and no driver was located at the scene.
Deputy Chief Anthony DeLucia was first to arrive on scene and confirmed a fully involved dump truck fire. Crews from Engine 6 quickly stretched a line and had water on the fire, while Engine 3 established a backup water supply to support the operation.
Chief Jay Fainer assumed command of the incident. The fire was brought under control swiftly, preventing any additional hazards.
The incident remains under investigation.
