ANSONIA – One person is dead after a crash on Pershing Drive Wednesday (Sept. 24).
The crash happened at about 7:44 a.m., according to a press release from the Ansonia Police Department.
Police said Friday (Sept. 26) that the man who died is Adonis Lapuppet-Bligen, a 27-year-old Ansonia resident. Police said he was the only person in his car when it struck a telephone pole.
Pershing Drive remained closed for much of Wednesday between Clifton Avenue and Bridge Street, for a police investigation. The road is now reopened.
