The Great Valley Restaurant Raffle is underway, and tickets are available online or from
Ansonia & Seymour-Oxford Rotary Club members, club president Nancy
Valentine announced.
The raffle will award two top prizes worth $500 each and ten prizes valued at $100
each. Prizes are gift certificates to area restaurants. A ticket costs $20.
The drawing will be on May 20 at 6 p.m. at NE Young at Heart in Oxford.
The proceeds of the annual fundraiser provides revenue to the AnSeOx Rotary Club to
support community projects, educational scholarships, and a food packing project to
support local food banks.
Last month, ingredients for over 20,000 meals were purchased and packaged at Trinity Lutheran Church in Seymour. In the coming weeks, three $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to a graduating senior from Seymour, Ansonia and Oxford.
During the past year, the Club has donated $1,500 to local groups dealing with a variety of community needs, and sponsored six high school students to attend leadership training.
