Justin J. Kruger, 50, of Oxford, Connecticut, passed away on Thursday, April 30. He was the beloved husband of 21 years to Elizabeth (Belko) Kruger.
Born in New Haven on September 20, 1975, Justin was the cherished son of Glynn Kruger and Judith Finn. He made his home in Oxford, where he had resided for the past 23 years.
After working as a Johnson & Wales–trained chef, Justin found his true calling as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. He received his Master’s degree from Fairfield University and worked in Seymour, Connecticut, for close to 20 years. Justin later took over management of Rimmon Pond Counseling, where he provided compassionate family counseling services. Justin was a deeply valued and involved member of his community, whose contributions were truly immeasurable.
Justin was an outdoorsman who loved the wilderness. He enjoyed camping, hiking, fishing, and skiing, and cherished every opportunity to share these passions with his boys.
Justin is the beloved father of Jack, Axel, and Blake Kruger. He is also survived by his sister, Kimberly LeBlanc (Terry); his brother, Jonathan Kruger (Brittney); his stepmother, Mary Kruger (Robert Dancik); his in-laws, Robert Belko and Linda Arkison (Ed); and his sister-in-law, Heather Belko Fox (Damian).
Friends may greet the family at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. On Thursday, friends may join the family for his Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 733 Oxford Road, Oxford, CT 06478.
