Elizabeth Marecki, age 86, entered eternal rest on June 23, 2026, at Complete Care at Glendale in Naugatuck.

Elizabeth was born in Derby on June 22, 1940, daughter of the late Adolf and Teofila (Dunaj) Marecki. She grew up in Derby and resided in Seymour for fifty years. Elizabeth began her career as a supervisor for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co., later was employed as an administrative assistant for the Winnick Law Firm in Shelton and retired from Hallmark Greeting Cards as a merchandiser. She was a devoted, long-time communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Ansonia and had an insatiable appetite for reading. She was a woman of deep intellectual curiosity, who took great joy in following the news and staying informed. Above all, Elizabeth was the heart of the family, always there to nurse, guide, and support wherever needed.

She leaves to cherish her memory, nephews, Albert D. Castiello Jr., Daniel Marecki, Edward Lenart, and Roy Marecki, nieces, Mania Lenart, Paula Lenart, and Nancy Derman. She was predeceased by brothers, John Marecki, Edward Marecki, Stanley Marecki, and Joseph Marecki, sisters, Theresa Marecki, Ann Castiello, Marie Lenart, and Teofila “Tessie” Marecki, nephews, Thomas Marecki and Edward Marecki and a niece, Elizabeth Lenart.

Visiting will take place on Monday, June 29, 2026, from 9:30 to 10:30 am in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Joseph’s Church in Ansonia.
