DERBY — A fundraiser to help a local firefighter who needs a new kidney is scheduled for 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8.
Chris Matto is a member of fire departments in Ansonia and Derby. He has kidney disease, but has found a donor and is close to being scheduled for surgery, according to The New Haven Register.
