Thomas A. Beatrice, age 98, former longtime resident of Shelton, CT, entered eternal rest on August 13, 2026, in the comfort of his home in Gettysburg, PA, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Anna May (Radcliffe) Beatrice.
Thomas was born in Shelton on August 27, 1927, last of the Beatrice clan, to the late Angelo and Mary (Bozzi) Beatrice. Also having resided in Seymour, CT and Beacon Falls, CT, Thomas was a graduate of Norwalk State Technical College in 1973 and was employed as a mechanical engineer for the Farrel Corporation in Ansonia for twenty-three years. A proud veteran, he honorably served his country in the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. Tom was a history buff, enjoyed reading, and trips to the battlefields. He had a passion for gardening, learning, sharing his knowledge with others, and meticulously tended to his yard. He was a member of the Farrell Old Timers Club, American Legion Schaeffer-Fischer Post 25 of Beacon Falls and VFW Post 12084 in Seymour.
Thomas leaves to cherish his memory, daughter, Anna Jacke (Peter) of Belchertown, MA, grandchildren, Dr. Sophia Noir of Brooklyn, NY, Laura Mills (Marios) of Gettysburg, PA, Marc Brumer (Mallory) of Bethesda, MD, and Melissa Brumer (Zach) of Scarsdale, NY, great-grandchildren, John, Brittney, Brent, Madeline, Reese, and Theo, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Arlene Brumer, brothers, Donald, James, William, John, and Alfie, and sisters, Julia, Rose Marie, Florence, Elvira, and Lucy.
Family and friends are invited to attend his graveside prayer service on Monday, August 24, 2026, at 10:00 am, at St. Michaels Cemetery, 28 Silver Hill Road in Ansonia, CT, where he will be laid to rest alongside his wife Anna.
