YA Wednesdays at Derby Public Library
Derby, CT – On Wednesdays, August 5 & 12, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m., the Derby Public Library invites young adults ages 12 to 17 to YA Wednesdays, Teen Game Time as Nintendo Wii & tabletop games are available. These are “Plant a Seed, Read!” Teen Summer Club events! Attendees earn credit towards prizes. Light refreshments will be provided. Derby, CT – On Wednesday, August 26, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., the Derby Public Library invites all young adults ages 12 to 17 to Teen Advisory Board Meeting where attendees are encouraged to voice their ideas for improving & expanding young adult library services & teen programming. Focus will include participant input that contributes to the library fulfilling its mission of quality-of-life enhancements in: knowledge; entertainment; & citizenship. Teen Summer Club at Derby Public Library
Derby, CT – On Monday, June 22, the Derby Public Library invites young adults ages 12 to 17 to the kickoff of 2026’s Teen Summer Club. This year’s theme is “Plant a Seed, READ”! Registration begins June 1st as club members are encouraged to engage in library programs that include Teen Game Time & Teen Advisory Board gatherings Wednesdays from 1 to 2:30 p.m.. Club members that attend programs, review books/articles, &/or evaluate websites are entered into drawings for prizes. A grand prize winner will be drawn at the club’s finale Pizza Party in mid-August.
