David W. Samoker, Jr., 61, of Derby, entered into rest on August 29, 2026.

David was a beloved son, husband, father, brother, friend, and proud U.S. Army veteran. He will be remembered for his kind heart, sense of humor, and remarkable athleticism. Passionate about sports, he dedicated many years to coaching youth athletics, inspiring countless young people to build confidence, develop discipline, and foster a lifelong love of the game. He found great joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially fishing and gardening, and cherished time spent outdoors, where he drew peace, fulfillment, and a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature.

He is survived by his wife, Allyson Landolfi; his son, Rocco Samoker (fiancée, Cristina Carloni); his mother, Mary Anne (Salinardi) Samoker; his sisters, Denise (Samoker) Amundson and Danielle Samoker; and many extended family members who will remember him with love.

Honoring David’s wishes, no public funeral or memorial service will be held. His family will gather privately to remember his life, celebrate his legacy, and reflect on the many treasured memories he created.

The Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth Street, Derby, has been entrusted with the arrangements. Online condolences may be offered at www.adzimafh.com.
