Case Against Derby Murder Suspect Continued

The case against accused murderer Cordaryl Silva was continued several weeks at Superior Court in Milford Wednesday.

Silva had been scheduled to make his third court appearance in the case Wednesday, but a scheduling conflict with prosecutors meant the matter was continued to Sept. 5 before court opened.

Derby police charged Silva last month in the May 12 murder of Javon Zimmerman in the parking lot outside RJ’S Cafe in Derby.

The arrest warrant charging Silva remains sealed from public view.
