National Federation Of Independent Business Endorses Klarides-Ditria

The following announcement was sent by Nicole Klarides-Ditria’s campaign Sept. 20.Nicole Klarides-Ditria, who owns and manages Klarides Family Associates, received the backing of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) earlier this month.

She is running for the 105th General Assembly district seat which covers Seymour, Beacon Falls, and Derby.

The current business climate in Connecticut is unfriendly to businesses small and large,” Klarides-Ditria said. The anti-business policies being passed in Hartford are created by people who have no clue what it takes to run a business. As a small business owner, I will work to make Connecticut a more attractive place for businesses to grow organically by eliminating unnecessary taxes and cutting red tape.”

Founded in 1943, NFIB has become Connecticut’s and the nation’s leading small business association. NFIB gives small and independent business owners a voice by advocating for pro-business policies.

The NFIB recently gave State Representative Theresa Conroy a failing grade this session (43 percent) for her anti-business voting record. Rep. Conroy voted to place $1.3 billion in tax and fee increases on businesses.

Klarides-Ditria is a lifelong resident of Seymour who grew up working at her family’s supermarkets (Klarides Supermarkets) in Seymour and Derby. She is currently the Deputy First Selectman of Seymour and has worked to revitalize economic development in Seymour, which has seen an increase in businesses since she has taken office.
