A person was taken to Waterbury Hospital after a rollover crash on Route 8 north Friday afternoon.
The name and condition of the person was not available.
The accident was reported about 2:40 p.m.
It happened in Ansonia, about a half-mile from exit 19, the Wakelee Avenue exit of Route 8.
Emergency crews from both Ansonia and Derby were sent to the scene.
The vehicle involved looked like a Volkswagen sedan.
The person was trapped inside the car when emergency crews arrived, according to emergency transmissions.
It took about 13 minutes to cut the person out of the car.
Further details were not immediately available Friday afternoon.
The accident triggered delays in both directions of Route 8. Wakelee Avenue was backed up as well.
