Imetovski Makes Case To Seymour Voters

Zani Imetovski said he doesn’t support a pay raise for the town’s top elected official, that residents should be able to vote on the school and town budgets each year and that his Republican opponent hasn’t done enough to brand” the town.

The 23-year-old Democrat is challenging two-term Republican incumbent Kurt Miller for Seymour First Selectman.

Imetovski was a guest Oct. 12 on Valley Navel Gazing,” the Valley Indy’s weekly talk show.

Seymour Candidate Talks Solar Power, Housing Trust

This week, I’ll introduce you to community solar and community housing trusts for the second part of this series.

Community solar is a program allowing the purchase of solar panels for people who rent or own property in town.

Seymour Candidate: Reactivate The Commission On Aging

Contributed photoOver the past few months as I have spoken with many Seymour residents either through knocking on over a 1,000 doors or at events I have attended. 

A common issue has emerged regarding the lack services and activities for seniors in town. This issue can be addressed by re-activating the Commission on Aging – which has been inactive for over a year.

Kurt Miller: My Team Will Continue To Move Seymour Forward

In 2011, when I first announced my intention to run for First Selectman, I laid out a plan of action to move Seymour forward.

Like rebuilding a house, we first needed to ensure that we had a solid foundation to build from. 

Over the last four years, my team and I have worked tirelessly to make the necessary changes to allow our town to move forward with long term growth and financial stability.

Seymour’s Miller: ‘I’m Having So Much Fun’

I know I had initially said I was going to commit to two terms and run just the two times,” Miller said during his acceptance speech. But, to be honest with you, I’m having so much fun. We’re getting so much stuff done as a group that I wanted to run at least one more time to continue the hard work and the dedication we’ve been putting in.”

Seymour Dems Endorse Zani Imetovski For First Selectman

Vowing to dedicate more time to working in town hall and listening to residents, Zani Imetovski formally accepted the Democratic nomination for First Selectman in Seymour Thursday.

My vision for Seymour begins with promoting the downtown area, restoring it to its historic roots. We will work to brand Seymour as a place where families from the surrounding area will want to spend the day,” Imetovski said.
