She was taken to the hospital and was in stable condition, police said on Wednesday.

During the arraignment, the prosecutor told the court that the victim continues to feel terrified and fears for her life. She said that, according to the victim, Petaway made it very clear if she calls the police, he’ll come back and make sure she disappears.”

Judge Stephanie Damiani set Petaway’s bond at $750,000. His next court date was set for March 5.
