Ansonia Veteran Donates Flags To City

The flags are a constant reminder of the sacrifices our veterans have made on behalf of their country,” Cassetti said.

Lutson, an Army veteran, is a state representative for the Soldiers’, Sailors’, and Marines’ Fund, as well as a member of the American Legion Post 24 in Derby, and a service officer at the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Derby.

Photo:Ethan FryAnsonia Aldermen on Tuesday created a new subcommittee of their board dealing with veterans’ issues.

The Second Ward’s Phil Tripp, the First Ward’s Edward Adamowski, the Sixth Ward’s Patrick Henri, and the Seventh Ward’s Daniel Evans and David Blackwell were appointed to the committee.

The committee will look into issues related to our veteran population in Ansonia,” and will also explore the addition of an office at City Hall to provide direct assistance to veterans, according to a letter Cassetti sent Aldermen Jan. 14.
