Ansonia WPCA Had An Open House

Ansonia Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA) held an open house Saturday, May 3, 2014 from 9:30am to 10:30am.

Approximately 30 people toured the new state-of-the-art facility which cost $52 million and was constructed in 2011.

Mayor Cassetti, Superintendent Brian Capozzi, WPCA Chairman Nunzio Parente, and WPCA Board members were all on hand to guide residents and others through the facility and answer questions.

Most Ansonia residents utilize the City’s wastewater system with approximately 98% of the streets connected.

I was pleased with the turnout” remarked Mayor Cassetti. It tells me our residents are interested in knowing where and how their tax dollars are being spent,” Cassetti said.
