A Derby man faces four criminal charges after allegedly ramming his vehicle into a police car.
Police said they received a report of suspicious activity at about 11 p.m. June 25 in the area of Cemetery Avenue, off Hawthorne Avenue.
Police said when they tried to pull over a vehicle, the driver attempted to speed away. The vehicle struck a marked police car, police said.
The vehicle’s driver was identified as Horace Sanders, 28.
He is charged with two felony counts of assault on a police officer, engaging police in a pursuit and reckless driving.
Sanders posted a $75,000 bond and is due in court July 8.
