Zani Imetovski this week received the support of 3rd District Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro.
Congresswoman DeLauro has served Connecticut’s 3rd District, which includes Seymour, since 1991.
Congresswoman DeLauro serves on the Appropriations Committee and is the ranking member on the Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education. Rosa has been a tireless advocate for growing the middle class by strengthening the rights of workers to organize.Congresswoman DeLauro said, “Zani brings fresh leadership to Seymour. I have confidence in his work ethic, leadership and commitment to service. I know he will be a great choice for the residents of Seymour.”
“It’s a great honor to have the support of Congresswoman DeLauro” said Zani Imetovski. He added “Having grown up here is Seymour I’ve seen the work Rosa has done for our community, in particular her work to support good paying middle class jobs here in the valley.”
Mr. Imetovski also said “I’m ready to get to work as First Selectman of Seymour. I plan to keep town hall open 5 days a week to make local government more accessible to residents and plan to work with Rosa and the rest of the delegation to bring more middle class jobs to Seymour.”
Zani Imetovski is the Democratic Nominee for First Selectman of Seymour. Zani was born and raised in Seymour and is a graduate of Seymour High School and the University of New Haven. Zani has worked for U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal, State Representative Thersea Conroy, and now works at the Connecticut General Assembly.
