Job experience that could help you be an Alderman/Alderwoman?

Before retirement I was a Production Control Manager at Lifetouch in Derby. I managed over 100 people in my departments, procuring materials, meeting deadlines and obtaining maximum quality. I also ran the Building Maintenance Department responsible for total building maintenance in entire building and out.”

In your personal opinion, what are the two biggest challenges facing the City of Derby?

Stabilize taxes and bring in new business. Most important for Derby is to increase tax base to take the burden off the homeowners. Need to finally put words into action on redevelopment zone. Why everybody else and not Derby?

We need to have a team dedicated to this number one priority. No more talk, please. Action. We all want this. There’s no division on this. Let’s get it together. I will push this because there is no other choice for our City.”
