Please join us for the Derby Historical Society’s 24th Annual Appeal & Thanksgiving Reception on Monday, Nov. 24th, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Local community leader and successful businessman, Ned Miller, will be honored with the John Ireland Howe Award. 

The program speaker is Dr. Warren Perry, Director, Africana Studies Archaeology Lab at Central Connecticut State University. 

Dr. Perry will be discussing his findings at the Freeman Site” the former Derby home of Black Governor, Roswell Freeman. Donors of $40 or more to the Annual Appeal will receive a complimentary ticket to attend this great program! Contact 203 – 735-1908 for information by November 21st!
