Notre Dame High School has hired Jamie Bartone as its new softball coach. A Derby native, Bartone was an All-State athlete who continued her softball career at SCSU as the starting shortstop.
Bartone comes to Notre Dame as an experienced head coach, having led Catholic High School in Florida from 2013 – 2017, and most recently Derby High School. Upon returning to Connecticut in 2018, she founded Bartone Softball Training, where she works with over 200 clients ranging in age from 5 – 18 years old.
Bartone is also a coach at Zone Nation Sports in Seymour, where she is spearheading the Run and Gun Lady Nightmares travel softball program.
Notre Dame Athletic Director John Johnson stated, “Coach Bartone has the passion for teaching the game she loves. What is evident is her ability to connect with her players and get the most out of everyone, regardless of skill level.” Jamie Bartone added, “I am extremely excited to be a part of such a successful program and school. I am looking forward to helping these student athletes succeed both on and off the field.”
