The Derby Middle School Running Club ran the Chilly Chili 5K road race in Orange on Jan. 1.
Placing first in their age group were Rachel Fleischer and Kiley Rodriguez, with Jayce Curcio and Nicole Rizzo second and Chase Bolton and Sara Gerckens third.
Also running were Joseph Mammano, Nicholas Mammano, Joseph Ostuno, Tristan Pruzinsky, Dana Kneissel, Nicolette Tasi, and Rocco Samoker.
The Derby Middle Running School Running Club is advised by educators Mike Gozzo, Shelley Sheridan, and Jenny Ames.
