The Ansonia American Legion Post 50 in partnership with Mayor Cassetti is once again accepting unwanted Halloween leftovers that will be sent to the VA hospital in West Haven to be enjoyed by veterans there. Put your extra candy to good use while showing support for local veterans in conjunction with Veterans Day.
Bring your sweet treats down to the Mayor’s office all this week and they will be hand delivered to the VA by an Ansonia American Legion member. Last year’s donations were most appreciated and none of it went to waste.
Drop-offs should be between 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 8:30 to 12:30 p.m. on Friday at Ansonia City Hall on Main Street.
