Dog Dies In Seymour House Fire

SEYMOUR — The town’s fire marshal is investigating the cause and origin of a fire that destroyed a house on Steep Hill Road on Tuesday (Dec 5).

Two adults and a dog were displaced because of the fire, according to emergency radio transmissions. A second dog did not survive.

The first units on scene reported heavy fire throughout the structure. The house was at the end of a long driveway, officials said.

The fire was reported at about 9:30 p.m.

The Red Cross was notified.
