
The National Weather Service issued a flood warning for the Housatonic River near the Stevenson Dam at 4:49 a.m. Saturday.
At 4 a.m. the river near the dam was at 10 feet.
The flood stage is 11 feet.
The river is expected to reach its flood stage by 10 a.m. Saturday, then reach 11.9 feet by 7 p.m. Saturday.
Water starts to flood the low-lying Maples neighborhood of Shelton when the river reached 11.5 feet.

Meanwhile, the region is under a “flood watch” until 12 p.m. Saturday.
