Make plans Saturday July 18 to attend the first annual Freedom Fest Craft Beer Festival being held at Warsaw Park in the heart of historic Ansonia.
Freedom Fest is proud to benefit a very noble cause in the Wounded Warrior Project.
Founded in 2003, the Wounded Warrior Project looks to raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of injured service members; to help injured servicemen and women aid and assist each other; and to provide unique, direct programs and services to meet their needs.
Freedom Fest is hosted by Valiant in the Valley Inc., an all-volunteer non-profit organization founded by some of the minds behind Soupstock and Smoke in the Valley festivals. Our goal is to produce another first-rate festival in Connecticut and help raise funds for a worthy organization whose efforts benefit the overall community.
This year’s Freedom Fest is planned for 3,000 beer lovers and guests to enjoy great beers from 70+ breweries, six food trucks and 25 specialty vendors and live music all on site to make for a fantastic day!
Headlining the main stage this year are touring national talent American Babies, coming off a performance on the main stage at the Vibes last year, Best of CT Balkun Brothers and Remember September.
As a tribute to our military, veterans and those military currently still enlisted are our VIPs and will be allowed to enter the festival at noon, one hour early, to enjoy the festivities.
An all ages event, we will also have a root beer tasting station for the young ones so they too can take part in this great event. Pouring this year are such Connecticut favorites such as Foxon Park and Hosmer Mountain.
Freedom Festival will run from 1 to 4:30 p.m. At the admission tent attendees will receive an ID wristband and Freedom Fest souvenir tasting mug for unlimited samples of all the great beers available!
The event is all ages to visit the vendor tents and food trucks, but you will need to be 21+ and wear the official wristband and glass to enjoy the beers. Visit our Facebook page and like us to receive all Freedom Fest news and updates!
