Seymour Trunk Or Treat,” a community event for children, will be presented on Monday, Oct. 31, at Seymour Middle School, 211 Mountain Road by the Seymour Police Department, Seymour Ambulance Association, Seymour Fire Department and Seymour Public Schools.
The free family event for children in grades pre-kindergarten to sixth grade is from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Set-up time is 4 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.
Families bring a car and decorate the trunk, handing out candy they bring for costumed children who go from trunk to trunk.
Children can show off their costume in the childrens costume parade. There will be music by Eagle Productions disc jockey Richie G. There will be refreshments.
Prizes will be awarded for best decorated trunk, best costumes, and best jack-o-lanterns.
Families who participate are asked to bring one carved jack‑o’-lantern. A glow stick will be provided.
