Students from Prendergast and Mead schools helped to stock 200 trout into Ansonia’s Colony Pond Wednesday.
Dave Connelly and Rich Dziekan sent the Valley Indy a few pictures from the event.
The trout — brown, brook, and rainbow — were transferred from the truck into smaller buckets that the students emptied into the pond.
Mayor David Cassetti also pitched in.
The students were then shown a taxidermy display of freshwater fish in Connecticut by Tom Bourret, a biologist with the Department of Energy & Environmental Protection.
Colony Pond is on Colony Street near Brookside Avenue.
