Klarides-Ditria Gets Independent Party Nod

Nicole Klarides-Ditria received the cross-endorsement of the Independent Party of Connecticut yesterday which will place her on both the Republican and Independent lines this November.

I am thankful for the recognition of the Independent Party,” stated Klarides-Ditria. The Independent Party’s ideology of ensuring an honest and open government that tackles issues in a common sense way matches the approach I have taken locally as the Deputy First-Selectman of Seymour. I believe this type of approach needs to be duplicated in Hartford and the first step to making this happen is electing independent voices to the General Assembly this November.”

The Independent Party is the third-largest political party in Connecticut and has endorsed several candidates across the state this year.

We believe Nicole will be a fresh independent-minded voice in the state legislature seeking an inclusive and responsible state government for all residents,” said John Dietter, State Chairman of the Connecticut Independent Party. Her views on state spending, debt and the need for economic growth reflect our goals. We enthusiastically endorse Nicole’s candidacy, and look forward to her victory in November.”

Klarides-Ditria is a lifelong resident and Deputy First-Selectman of Seymour.

She grew up working at her family’s supermarkets, Klarides Supermarkets, in Derby and Seymour and currently manages Klarides Village and other properties throughout the valley.

She also is an athletic trainer at Lauralton Hall in Milford and for the Seymour High School Football Team.
