Letter: It’s Time For A Republican Recharge

Almost one year ago, I entered the political realm. I had been inspired by the rise of outsiders, and the difference they have made.

My passion is in conservative politics and the successful results they have delivered. It has been enthralling to work alongside Mayor Cassetti, the Board of Alderman, and others, as we look to put these conservative principles in place for the people.

As I came on board, and became involved with the Ansonia Republican Town Committee, I knew that with dedication, we would be able to present and deliver a message with residents that really resonates. It is because of this that last November we were able to secure the first ever third term for a Republican Mayor in Ansonia’s history, as well as secure all 14 seats on the Board of Alderman. But I see even more potential.

I am announcing my candidacy for Chairman of the Ansonia Republican Town Committee. In the past year, I have learned and contributed to the efforts of Republicans in our political spectrum. I find myself serving on the Board of Apportionment and Taxation, and volunteering for many campaigns.

What I see is the potential for a renaissance in our party. It is time for a Republican Recharge. But what does this entail?

With the 2018 election season approaching, it is critical that for Ansonia and the state of Connecticut that we continue to elect conservatives who will put the taxpayer first and end the current abuses that we hear about every day.

It is time to bring new blood into the Republican Party. It is with the announcement of my candidacy that I also announce the formation of the Valley Young Republicans, an organization dedicated to bringing in brightminded, young individuals with the passion to serve and get involved.

Today’s political climate is quite raucous, and it has been because of fresh conservative faces to the political world that we have seen results. The people deserve it.

So why does this announcement matter? It’s because I believe the residents of Ansonia like what they see, and I want to ensure that they continue to see this success continue. Last year, Mayor Cassetti was re-elected with 72 percent of the vote. If that is not a resounding confirmation of the people’s satisfaction with Republican policy, then when we elect and re-elect Republicans to Hartford this November, and they deliver and really transform this broken state, we can return to the discussion.

I want to lead this effort. I want to lead this Republican Recharge and ensure that we continue to deliver for Ansonia, regardless of your political beliefs or affiliation.
