Longtime Ansonia Employee Retires

Jo-Lynn Flaherty, the City of Ansonia’s longtime payroll accountant, retired Friday (May 29) after more than 20 years working full-time for the city, and many more in service to numerous boards and commissions.

Officials gathered in the Erlingheuser Room at City Hall to send Flaherty off with a cake and other goodies.

At the May 12 meeting of the city’s Aldermen, Mayor David Cassetti thanked Flaherty for her “loyal, dedicated, and distinguished” service to the city.

“Whenever you needed a question answered in finance, especially in payroll, Jo-Lynn was the go-to person,” Cassetti said. “We always looked forward to her smiling face and pleasant demeanor. Her passion for the city and its residents will be missed. We want to wish her the best of luck in the future and we wish her a long and happy retirement.”
