Mayor-Elect Dugatto Asks For Citizen Involvement For A New Derby

As a new approach to establishing her administration, Mayor-Elect Anita Dugatto is opening up the process for both paid executive and administrative staff and volunteer boards and commissions.

I am asking all interested in serving the City of Derby, who share my passion for change and a positive vision for a better Derby, to come forward to help move Derby forward.” said Dugatto, who was recently elected as the first female mayor in the history of the City of Derby.

Mayor-Elect Dugatto wants to recruit the best possible talent from our area the help her move Derby forward competent and capable leadership.” said former State Representative and Dugatto advisor Vincent J. Tonucci. We want everyone to know that this an open process to ask all interested stakeholders to participate in governing our City with intelligence and integrity.” He concluded.

The Dugatto administration will take the oath of office on Saturday December 7, 2013, pursuant to the City Charter. 

The historic ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. in the Derby High School Auditorium. 

Invited participants include Gov. Dannel Malloy, Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman, Senator Richard Blumenthal, Senator Christopher Murphy, Congresswoman Rosa L. DeLauro and other local officials.
