The Young Democrats of America (YDA) endorsed Kara Rochelle in the 104th District race for state representative.
YDA “mobilizes people under the age of 36 to participate in the electoral process, influence and reform the ideals of the Democratic Party, advocate for current issues, and train the next generation to lead.”
Not all Democrats, or Young Democrats, are endorsed. There is a rigorous application and interview process — candidates must show a record and commitment to bringing newcomers and fresh energy into the party. State and more grassroots local Chapters, like the Naugatuck Valley Young Democrats, are the body and spirit of the organization, bringing fresh energy and ideas to the table for our communities.

CTYD consists of members all over the state, who have varied backgrounds and views within the Democratic party.
