New Inductees Into The City Of Derby's Hall Of Fame

DERBY — The 16th anniversary class for the Derby Hall of Fame chosen by the Hall of Fame Committee brings the number of Hall members to 61. This is the first year that the official announcement of the new class will coincide with Derby’s birthday on May 13.

In announcing the 2022 class, Mayor Dziekan said, This year’s class includes three men who distinguished themselves in diplomacy, transportation, and the biotech industry as well as philanthropy. James Kennedy was a pioneer in the transportation industry in Derby and beyond as he was responsible for the construction of electric trolley lines including the very first one in New England built to connect Derby and Ansonia. They join the previous 55 individuals who are enshrined in the Hall and contributed so much to our history and culture.”
