Online Journalism Project Takes 14 Reporting Awards

The Valley Independent Sentinel and the Branford Eagle — two news organizations part of the Online Journalism Project — took home 14 awards at the 2010 Excellence in Journalism dinner Thursday night.

The journalism awards are part of an annual contest run by the Connecticut Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.

The Valley Independent Sentinel and the Branford Eagle competed against other online-only publications, including Patch.com sites, LocalOnlineNews.TV and Raising Hale.
