Police: 65-Year-Old Man Attacked In Ansonia

ANSONIA — Police are looking for two men who forced their way into a residence and attacked a 65-year-old man.

The victim was cut with a knife.

The attack happened on Woodlawn Avenue at about 2:45 a.m. on Feb. 6 (Tuesday).

The man told police someone knocked on his door. When he opened the door two men forced their way in.

One male was armed with a handgun and asked him where his money was. The victim reported the male with the handgun then took a knife and cut him in the upper body. Both males then fled the residence,” police said in a social media post.

One suspect was described as a Black male, about 6 feet, 2 inches tall and between 30 to 40 years old. The other man was described as shorter — but no additional description was available.

The victim was cut in his upper body. He was treated at a hospital and released Feb. 7 (Wednesday).
