One-to-two inches or rain with flash floods is possible.
There’s a large tropical air mass sitting off the coast of the Carolinas, which is expected to pass through the area later.

Late Afternoon: Rain likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Cloudy, with a high near 76. East wind around 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Tonight: Rain and possibly a thunderstorm before 1am, then a chance of rain. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Patchy fog. Low around 62. Northeast wind between 11 and 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.
